ILORIN, Nigeria – Thousands of members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Sunday took to the streets of Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, for the “Kwara Ndupe” (Kwara is Grateful) unity rally, a massive political procession aimed at demonstrating solidarity within the party and appreciation for its leadership ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The rally, which attracted party faithful from the 16 local government areas of the state, witnessed a colourful display of APC symbols, banners, music, and chants as participants marched through major roads across the Ilorin metropolis.
The event was attended by top APC leaders, elected public office holders, political appointees, youth groups, women organizations, and grassroots supporters who described the gathering as a renewed commitment to sustaining the party’s dominance in Kwara State.
Organizers of the rally said the procession was designed to express gratitude to the people of Kwara State for their continued support of the APC-led administration while reaffirming the party’s unity and readiness for future political contests.

Supporters praised the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, citing ongoing investments in infrastructure, education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and economic development across the state. They also reaffirmed their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, expressing confidence in the party’s leadership at both the state and national levels.
Throughout the procession, residents lined the streets to observe the peaceful march as participants moved through strategic parts of Ilorin, creating a vibrant political atmosphere across the city.
Security personnel were deployed to maintain law and order, while traffic officials managed vehicular movement along affected routes to ensure a smooth and peaceful exercise. No major security incidents were reported during the rally.
Political observers believe the “Kwara Ndupe” rally represents one of the largest public political gatherings in the state in recent months and signals the APC’s early mobilization efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The event also served as an opportunity for party stakeholders to encourage members to remain united, strengthen grassroots structures, and continue engaging communities across the state.
With the impressive turnout and widespread participation, the rally underscored the APC’s determination to consolidate its political influence in Kwara State while projecting a message of unity, gratitude, and preparedness for future electoral contests.
